why a “circus in action”
Maybe because the classic categories are not enough: it is not a genre show, it is not dance, above all it is not the circus of the last generation. It is sport, it is culture, it is creation, it is life.
So we suddenly find ourselves looking for canons: is it a good show? Bad? Is it a show?
The initiative is a way to tell the current national and European scene without explaining it, inviting the curious to watch and participate to realize that when we say "circus" today there is a new way of living and seeing one's life.
Season 2023/24
We invite professional circus performers to live with us a week or a fortnight of Circo all'inCirca. During the weeks in which these artists will inhabit our gym, they will share their training methods with all of us; on Friday evening they will present the works they are currently creating for a sort of circus aperitif, followed by an aperitif... in Friuli.
A great opportunity for growth and comparison for all circus performers, young and old, experts or beginners, who attend Circo all'inCirca. Don't miss it!
Surprise show

Also in 2024, as for some years now, we are offering all students a special week in which the normal Circo all'inCirca courses are turned upside down and disciplines that are not normally covered are taught. In 2024 this week will be March 18th to 22nd. The lessons will be led by teachers and artists from outside the region. One of the artists or companies involved will give us the closing performance of "circo in atto" 2023/2024. As soon as the week is scheduled, the guest company will also be revealed.

What do you see?
Sarah Ferretti
A large paper installation that becomes what you see. Everything is based on the movement of the object and the body in relation to the object. There is no written story, but a flow of images that arise from improvisation and research. The meaning of everything: the imaginary, what everyone sees, a personal but at the same time shared vision. In this work the circus becomes a means to look at things from other perspectives. Going beyond the technique, I intend to deconstruct the image of the circus tool, giving back to the viewer a new imaginary, the idea is that everything they see is not what it seems at first glance. Create new worlds and find in these the truth of the gesture, of the movement, of the expression. "A great inspiration for me is the world of childhood, working closely with children has made me rediscover the power of imagination, going beyond the real image of things." Sarah's research work has already been in residence at Circo all'inCirca at the beginning of the research, now after a year the work is advanced and she is looking for her own music.

Paola Pilosio
Untitled Search - Contortionism and Handstands
While in high school, Paola approached the world of circus and quickly fell in love with it. So from a simple "teen" attending the relevant course at Circo all'inCirca she soon became a regular presence in the gym and as soon as she finished high school she left for France, where she began professional training. Now, after three years at the Centre Regional des Arts du Cirque in Lomme, in northern France, she is concluding her studies and preparing the equivalent of a degree thesis. It is her final artistic work, a performance that she will present in France at the end of her studies. Part of the research work will take her to Udine, where she took her first steps on her hands.

Facts or Fiction
"Rummi Crew" pole and vertical research
Luca, Corey and Tjaša cross paths in Portugal becoming classmates at the INAC circus school. A great friendship and the desire to share the stage immediately arise in them, but it is only after almost two years from the end of the training course that they manage to meet again being of three different nationalities (Italy, United States and Slovenia).
In 2023, the three manage to unite, making Ljubljana their base of operations, and thus begin working on the group's first creation, starting as inspiration from the various perspectives of human absurdity:
"As human beings, we have come a long way, but it is obvious that we still have a long way to go. When we take the time to slow down and analyze ourselves and our society, we are able to see different aspects of a complex but at the same time simple and bizarre system; aspects that do not seem to make that much sense.
F.O.F. wants to explore and exasperate those aspects using circus techniques as hardware and dealing with social rules and norms that make us who we are".

Tamba
Alessandro Zanutto
Tamba is the name of the project. The theme I intend to explore is waiting. There is no space, there is no time, there is no character. It is me in my essence who "PLAYS", who lets myself be amazed by what waiting generates and in silence manages to bring out musicality. Since Tamba is silent, the question that arises is: "is it possible to create a silent musicality, a non-audible, invisible music, that emerges from the dynamics of the movements of the body and the diablo, from the shapes that the body has in space, from the succession of inhalations and exhalations?" This is the dynamic of Tamba, a research that I want to continue in the development of the performance. Silence is music.

Niente Panico (No Panic)

Niente panico! was born from my personal research as a clown-juggler, from a large metal wardrobe and from my memory problems. It is a show based on expectation and derision that features a young juggler who comes out of a strange wardrobe and discovers he has forgotten everything. Or almost. It is a metaphor about our lives. A circus story. An absurd journey to reconquer memory. I have always had memory problems in circus writing. With No Panic! I discovered that this problem could be an advantage. Something that characterized me and gave me the opportunity to express myself in a more direct and clear way with the public. The most genuine circus I could offer. So I began to give life to a forgetful juggler.

Personal research
ICCAR project students
ICCAR is a continuing education project for circus artists led by Roberto Magro. It is not a school or an occasional workshop; it offers an artistic training program for professionals who are willing to challenge their intuitions and artistic visions with different creators for whom research and creation are inseparable. ICCAR strives to be a space-time continuum in which professionals of circus creation are invited to explore, experiment and dialogue through practice for several months. A space-time continuum in which to question and explore through different themes related to the creation of a circus performance. Three artists who met thanks to this project and who will continue their artistic research at Circo all'inCirca will be in residence from October 9th to 22nd.
A public restitution is not foreseen for this artistic research.

Charge Maximale de Rupture - Knot Out Collective
9.8 is a call to adventure, a flight to the boundaries of our subconscious. During this research, the duo accompanied by live music explores the vertical and the suspension of the smooth rope. A choreography of physical forces evolves on stage. Thus, the relationship woven with the smooth rope leads the two acrobats to not consider gravity as a weight that pushes downwards, but as a springboard to go upwards. It is through the reconstitution of a transcendental experience that the artists put on stage a universe based on their imagination, know-how and corporality.
