Message from the board

Dear followers, we reach you with this short message to share an urgent matter with you. Before Christmas takes over and covers the next few weeks with its reassuring mantle, the board of Circo all’inCirca would like to share an exhortation with those who follow us and those who appreciate our work.

We believe that beyond the beauty and passion that sees us constantly committed to improving our way of doing circus in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a decisive aspect of culture is helping small and large communities to interpret the world around them. Ultimately, this is also why we founded a cultural association, to learn to say something sensible about a world that sometimes seems senseless to us.

We try to seriously carry out the role of educational agency that is often entrusted to those who deal with culture. In our opinion, educating means helping new and old generations to enjoy culture consciously and with maturity, if not even giving the possibility of building culture to those who believe they can say something to the world.

Just today some of us were supposed to leave for Ramahalla, in Palestine, after receiving an invitation to participate in the international showcase of Palestinian artists. We were supposed to meet in the Middle East with various cultural operators from all over the world, from Korea to the United States. For obvious reasons we will remain in Friuli and for just as many reasons it seemed urgent to us to launch this message into the ether. We want to invite you not to remain indifferent, to create culture by talking, discussing, informing yourselves, exposing yourselves. We do not think there is a right and a wrong way to see things, however if Europe is surrounded by a world that is going up in flames, if the war has even entered beyond our doors perhaps it is also because we do not make culture loud enough.

In this last month we have looked for sources, insights, stories and ideas that could feed our curiosity. We therefore reach out to you to invite you to keep your attention high, to get an idea of ​​what is happening in the Middle East, but not only. Everywhere in the world.

Eyes and heart open! This is our wish for you before Christmas greetings become predictable or are emptied by the reassuring commercialization of things and feelings. In the description links and ideas to start your research.
