Federica Pini Sandrelli - swinging trapeze

Born in Milan in 1997. She met the circus at the age of 6 and, without leaving it, she graduated as a trapeze artist first at the FLIC Circus School in Turin in Italy and then at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne in France. Fascinated by the encounter between human beings and emptiness, she tries to live up there with aerial acrobatics, the art of suspension, attempting to manipulate gravity. The performance she will present will in fact be an intimate dialogue between gravity and suspension, a praise to the Void as an unresolved space in which falling and rising, strength and fragility will be protagonists thanks to the oscillation between acrobatics and simplicity.

Paola Pilosio - verticals and contortion

Her story with the circus began in 2017 at Circo all’InCirca, where she fell in love with aerial acrobatics and later discovered the upside-down world of handstands. In 2021 she decided that the circus had to become herGregorio Busattoo own profession and entered the Regional Center for Circus Arts in Lomme where she graduated in 2024 with the number we will see tonight: “Fais toi belle” (make yourself beautiful). "Almost everything is ready for the elegant evening that awaits her, just a few details are missing, a little makeup, a little perfume and a nice pair of stiletto heels. What could go wrong?”

Marylou Aupic - stunt bike

Marylou was born somewhere and rides a bike to go… nowhere. She likes to provoke the unconscious with lightness and rudeness, in 2024 she graduated as a professional circus artist from the Higher School of Circus Arts in Brussels where she presented the acrobatic bicycle act that we will see this evening. A mix of madness, nonsense, free body acrobatics and virtuosity on the bike that involves the acrobat, her stage clothes and mysterious red hair.

Liza Van Brakel - juggling - replaced by Davide Visintini

Davide is an associated artist of Circo all'inCirca, he has been collaborating with the association since before entering the FLIC circus school in Turin: in fact, he began his training in the circus field at Circo all'inCirca in 2013. Then he discovered acrobatics little by little and began to specialize simultaneously as a juggler and an acrobat. Today he collaborates with various Italian companies as well as with the circus of Udine, he is a member of the Brocante organization and coordinates the group of artists of Circo all'inCirca. For Circo d'inverno 2024 he replaces Liza (who suffered a last-minute injury) presenting his latest research developed at the Central del circ in Barcelona: a wooden board several meters high kept in balance at all costs while the body goes crazy.

Marica Marinoni - Cyr's wheel

Originally from Milan, she lives and develops her circus career in the French area, she is also linked to the city of Udine thanks to her professional debut in 2018 at Terminal. In that year, in fact, she left the prestigious National Center for Circus Arts in Châlons-en-Champagne and in that year the Udine festival hosted her school project in its program. Since then, she has developed a solid professional career until reaching the prestigious first prize of the Cirque Du Demain in 2024, a world competition that every year awards the best circus artists from the five continents. This evening she presents to the Udine public the number with which she won the prize in January of this year.

Giorgio Bertolotti - clown

We will be accompanied on this journey by Giorgio Bertolotti, a circus artist, tightrope walker, fantasist and clown, who in recent years has been developing a new comic character, a performance that attempts to bring “nobody” on stage, those people who live on the margins of our suburbs. Some call them bums, others call them homeless, but the artist's attention is above all directed at the looks that our world casts on these people, a look so busy and engaged that it is not capable of seeing the person beyond the fleeting glance cast along the street.

Fabio Rodaro - illustrator

Fabio Rodaro collaborated on the illustrations for Terminal 2019 and returns to interpret the circus by drawing the images that will be projected on the backdrop of this evening. Graphics and layout of the poster and program booklet by Valentina Bomben, artist of Circo all'inCirca.

Gregorio Busatto - musician

A drum master with multifaceted tastes, he has been accompanying the “in situ” creations of the international contemporary circus meeting of Val Colvera, Brocante, for years. It is here that a beautiful pair of stiletto heels. What could go wrong?”. has developed his own sensitivity towards the circus. This evening he will accompany and at times improvise with the artists on stage.

Davide Perissutti - direction and artistic direction of the evening

Clown, but also artistic director of Circo all’inCirca and curator of the Terminal festival, has a multifaceted education, which from philosophy and theology reaches the unexpected shores of comic writing and non-verbal dramaturgy. For this evening he curated the staging, chose the artists and worked with them to put together a cabaret that brings to Udine some of the best circus acts on the world scene and at the same time very young artists, whose passion for this profession was born right in Udine also thanks to Circo all’inCirca.

Il comune di Udine regala alla cittadinanza una serata di musica dal vivo e circo. Alle ore 18.00 di sabato 23 dicembre saliranno sul palcoscenico del Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine ventidue musicisti e sette acrobati.

L’Abbey Town Jazz Orchestra nasce a Sesto al Reghena nel 1998 ed è formata da musicisti che provengono dal FriuliVenezia Giulia e dal Veneto e può vantare 25 anni di attività continuativa durante i quali ha realizzato numerosi progettiinediti e prestigiose collaborazioni; dal 2007 è l’house band del Summer Jamboree di Senigallia.Ha accompagnato Renzo Arbore, Greg, Max Paiella, Ronnie Jones, Johnny Farina, Clem Sacco, Gino Santercole emoltissimi altri cantanti del panorama swing nazionale e internazionale. Ha sviluppato progetti con Tony Hadley, MaceoParker, Frankie hi-nrg mc, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Matthew Lee e Ray Gelato.

Sette artisti del Circo all'inCirca accompagneranno le musiche suonate dall'orchestra con performance antiche e nuove. In scena Simone Di Biagio (giocoleria e danza), Davide Visintini (mano a mano e giocoleria), Laia Picas (corda aerea), Paolo Tonezer (scala d'equilibrio), Valentina Boben (cerchio aereo), Camilla Francetti (palo cinese), Sarah Ferretti (cerchio aereo). Coordinano gli artisti Silvia Di Landro e Davide Perissutti.
